2016, September 7 Luncheon

September 7, 2016 Luncheon
featuring

John Sternlicht, EDASC Executive Director

The September membership luncheon will feature EDASC CEO John Sternlicht.
John Sternlicht became the CEO of the Economic Development Alliance of Skagit County last August, only the third leader in its 40+ year history. John, an attorney and certified economic developer, became involved in the field representing clients from Europe and Japan that were expanding into North Carolina.

During his first year, he has worked to re-orient EDASC to its mission of business recruitment, retention and expansion, and capacity building for the entire county. In addition, EDASC has undergone many revisions to update financial accounting, HR, IT and other internal practices vital to its operation, yet perhaps invisible to the general public.

For the coming year, EDASC will work to align its staff, programs, events and efforts with the mission, making sure to measure for effectiveness and adjust where needed. As an Alliance, EDASC will bring together people and organizations from all over Skagit County and beyond to leverage resources for the betterment of our residents and our economy. For that, EDASC needs everyone's support! Come find out what has created all the excitement for the business community around the Skagit Valley.

Our lunch, catered by Women Hand in Hand, will include a taco bar with all the fixings and gluten free/vegetarian options on request will be available at the kitchen window.
Dessert will be an Apple Crisp with caramel sauce and beverages will include your choice of iced tea or strawberry lemonade, along with coffee or water.

Women Hand in Hand

We are also a part of the September Helping Hands Food Drive please help out our local food bank by bringing canned or non-perishable food items to the luncheon or a cash donation.  Cash donaters will receive a drawing ticket for a prize provided by the chamber.

Some may and some may not know, but the Food Bank is able to purchase food at greatly reduced prices so your cash donation goes a lot farther than a can of soup to help feed the hungry.
