2017.11.01 Luncheon featuring John Sternlicht of EDASC
John Sternlicht, attorney and certified economic developer, was selected as the third executive director of EDASC in its 43 year history. He brings senior executive expertise in law, economic development, community relations, public policy, finance, and government relations with a domestic and international focus. John has over 20 years high-level experience negotiating and executing multi-billion dollar business locations and expansions involving public and private sector financing, higher education, infrastructure including all modes of transportation and legislative initiatives. John currently serves on the Board of Directors of the International Economic Development Council, speaks and writes nationally and abroad on various topics in economic development, including the design, protection and assessment of incentives, economic development practices in the United States, the process of negotiation, building public consensus, strategic planning, commercialization and innovation, and others.
Our Second Speaker will be Kevin Kane of SHKS Architeects, who is working with the Interlocal Joint Libraries to develop a new library in Sedro-Woolley that will best meet the needs to our community.

Kevin Kane, AIA, LEED AP, Principal
With over 30 years of experience and degrees in Architecture, Art History, and Graphic Design, Kevin brings a collaborative and innovative approach to his practice. He has taught design and drawing at the University of Washington, illustrated and co-authored Statics and Strength of Materials for Architecture and Building Construction, and chaired the UW Architecture Department Professionals Advisory Council. As a part-time resident of Roslyn, WA, Kevin is playing an active volunteer role in the revitalization of its historic downtown.
