Invites you to learn the basics of traditional sashiko: how to work with thread, needles, and fabric. We will cover several methods of design transfer and the nuances of sashiko stitching. As a practical workshop, the majority of time will spent with a threaded needle in-hand stitching. This workshop will give you confidence in sashiko stitching and set you on your journey to explore more of the ancient world of Japanese sashiko.
