J.E.D.I. Speaker Series: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace"

EDASC and the Skagit County Chambers of Commerce are pleased to present the second monthly Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI) Speaker Series virtual event set for 1 to 2 p.m. May 4, featuring a presentation from Certified Diversity Speaker Zenovia Harris titled Managing our Implicit Bias.

Harris, an accomplished author and former president for the Washington Diversity Council Advisory Board, is the CEO and Lead Facilitator at Zenovia Harris LLC.

She was also recently appointed as the CEO for the Kent Chamber of Commerce, becoming the first African American CEO to lead the chamber. Over the last decade, Harris has worked in higher education, sales and marketing and has owned her own business.

The goal of the series is to encourage representation and participation of diverse genders, races and ethnicities, religions, ages, and abilities and disabilities. Keynote speakers will share their experience on topics surrounding cultural diversity and how we can each contribute to build a more inclusive society.

The JEDI Speaker Series is held monthly the first Tuesday of each month from 1 to 2 p.m.

One-time event sponsorship is available for the series for $100. Sponsorship includes:

• Logo on promotional flyer distributed by the Skagit County Chambers and EDASC
• Logo on the event page of the organizers’ websites
• Logo displayed during the sponsored session
