Managing Conflict in the Workplace and How to Bring Out the Best in Your Employees

The Skagit Valley College Customized Training Program and the Economic Development Alliance of Skagit County have partnered to offer monthly workshops to support workforce development education. The September workshop will uncover the fundamental, inevitable forces of conflict, how to manage them, and what to do to when they get out of control. We will use brain science, listening and questioning skills, and discuss relevant and practical strategies to deal with difficult situations and difficult people. You will learn mediation practices to create ‘positive workplaces’ through effective prevention and timely resolution of workplace conflict. Instructor: Max Collette, a certified mediator, trainer, master facilitator and instructor for the SVC Business Management program. Max earned a masters in Organizational Development after 25 years as a professional chef, and provides interactive fun workshops that employ real world leading-edge information.
