Skagit Regional Airport Community Day
Community Day Activities at Skagit Regional Airport Set for Sept. 17
BURLINGTON – The community is invited to explore the world of aviation when the Port of Skagit hosts Community Day at Skagit Regional Airport from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 17. Admission is free.
The event will combine education, career counseling and fun activities while showcasing the airport as a valuable community asset. Events will take place at the airport, 15400 Airport Drive, Burlington.
The program involves these activities:
Flying and static aircraft displays from Heritage Flight Museum and Corporate Air Center
- Sign-ups for Young Eagle Flights for 8-17 year olds
- Aviation lectures
- Youth activities
- Food and drink vendors round out the offerings.
About the Port of Skagit: Guided by the mission “Good Jobs for Our Community,” the Port of Skagit owns and operates three key facilities: the Skagit Regional Airport, the Bayview Business Park and the La Conner Marina. Combined, these three facilities are home to 86 businesses that employ nearly 1,288 people.
