Helping Hands, Marathon Petroleum, and Skagit Transit are partnering to “Stuff the Bus” on August 6th, benefiting the Cutting Hunger on Weekends (CHOW) program. The CHOW program started in 2014, supporting one local elementary school. Year after year, the need for this program continually grows. With the community’s support, Helping Hands currently provides food to 1,700-2,500 kids (on average) per month. With the start of the school year right around the corner, our goal is to support more kids throughout Skagit County. To help impact the life of a child in our community, please consider donating directly to our CHOW program or stopping by the Cascade Mall on Saturday, August 6th, from 11 am to 1 pm, with food and non-food life essentials. The following essential CHOW items are needed: - Peanut Butter - Macaroni & Cheese - Kid-Friendly Soup (with pop-top openings) - Cans of Chili - Canned Tuna/Canned Protein - Granola Bars Helping Hands will also be accepting non-food life essential items such as:? - Laundry soap - Shampoo & other hair products - Bar soap & body wash - Cleaning supplies - Disposable shavers - Toilet paper - Menstrual pads Learn more and donate at www.HelpingHandsFoodBank.org/stuffthebus 360.856.2211 www.HelpingHandsFoodBank.org P.O.
